The Yamaha PAP01 BASIC Helper is a set of utilities that facilitates the input of BASIC commands in conjunction with the MMP01 music pad, for which a custom sheet was provided. There are 4 utilities provided:

  • a listener for inputs from the music pad, acting as a shortcut for common BASIC commands
  • a 16x16 sprite editor
  • a calculator which can perform operations with decimals and hexadecimals
  • a unique font that can replace the default MSX alphabet
