The Yamaha TMX drum trigger module is designed to accomodate any drummer who needs to trigger contemporary sounds from pads and/or acoustic drums, converting input signals coming from electronic pads or acoustic drums to MIDI.
The TMX can also function as drum sample module, with on-board sounds including kick drums, snares, percussion, special effects, cymbals, horns and bass. The ZAP button is used to quickly edit one of the on board 245 voices.
Input signals can include electronic drums (it was advertised with the EP75 and KP75 pads) or acoustic drums kitted with triggers (DT10). When being triggered by real drums, the TMX can be bypassed to allow the acoustic sound to pass through.
The ZAP button is used to quickly edit one of the on board 245 voices.
